Atom 3D Printer

Atom, named after the basic building block of matter, is Asia's first delta-style 3D printer. The mark draws its shape from the printer's own delta triangle frame and circular glass print bed, set in an industrial black and an innovative yellow. Atom moved past the bulk and imprecision that held earlier 3D printers back, landing somewhere closer to a well-made appliance than a piece of maker-lab equipment. Multiple crowdfunding campaigns and pre-orders followed in Taiwan, with the printer later finding an audience in Japan, Europe, and the US as well.

The identity runs on black, white, and yellow, a palette that reads as maker culture with a technical edge, precise enough for a product built on print accuracy, bold enough to stand out on a crowdfunding page.
Success brought growth. After the original Atom 2.0 campaign in 2015, new models followed: the 2.5, the 2.5 EX, the 2.5 FX. Each kept the same core mark but carried its own code, letting the identity stretch across a growing product line without losing what tied it all back to Atom.
The brand grew beyond the printer itself. Catalyst became the mark for Atom's beta testing programme, while Atom Shop, a physical store for 3D printing materials that opened in Taipei in 2017, gave the brand a place people could actually walk into. What started as a single product slowly built itself into a fuller, more complete brand.
