Horenohi Wedding Pastry

Harenohi (晴れの日) is a wedding pastry brand born from a collaboration between Japan and Taiwan. The name refers to a clear, sunny day, a Japanese expression for a special occasion. Its Western-style pastries are packed into a gift box built around one idea: the joy and ceremony of giving something at a wedding.

The sunrise, a symbol of new beginnings, became the starting point for the visual identity. The logo and patterns all draw from the meaning of the brand name, so every element on the box feels connected to the same idea. The aim was a refined, happy atmosphere that suits a wedding gift.
The client and decision-makers brought references and expectations shaped by the Japanese market, so tone, detail control, and finishing quality carried extra weight. Proposals, reviews, and revisions moved between Japanese and Taiwanese teams, with detailed feedback at every stage. Visual concept, typography, and material choices were tested against each other along the way.
A wedding gift box also has to work in real production. Structure, paper, tests, and finishing options were refined repeatedly with the packaging producer until the design matched a more feasible way to make it. In the finished box, foil stamping and pearl ink add depth and a tactile quality, making the package feel premium without extra graphic complexity.
