Materialize
Editorial, Photography
Materialize was a collaboration with Taiwanese visual artist Sydney Sie, built around a simple question: what happens when 3D printing stops being cold, technical equipment and becomes a tool for everyday creativity? Across three themed scenes, the project pushed 3D-printed objects into spaces usually reserved for sketches and imagination. On the graphic design side, the work covered the printed matter woven through each set, books, posters, labels, along with on-set prop styling and the exhibition's flyer design.

Music Maker set treats sound-making as a solo act of construction, building a track note by note, layer by layer, the way a one-person band might. Vinyl labels, equipment graphics, and printed ephemera scattered through the scene carry that DIY energy into the visuals themselves, playful, a little chaotic, built piece by piece just like the music.
Cosmic Typography takes letterforms off the page and lets them drift into three dimensions, each curve and counter still carefully measured, just given room to exist in space. The posters tucked into the scene stayed flat on purpose, a quiet contrast to the sculptural type floating around them, flattening and dimension playing off each other like a small game of perspective.
David's Garden reimagines everyday objects as things worth designing and printing yourself, vases, planters, small fixtures, shaped by whatever a space actually needs rather than whatever's on a shelf. Books and printed collateral placed within the scene carried that same hands-on spirit, extending into the exhibition's flyer design as the project's final printed trace.
